The Ilitha Group was formed in March 2003 through the merger of three specialist process industry companies providing engineering services and solutions to industry. The Group therefore has a long and successful track record, going back to 1988, with well-established policies, procedures and systems. The Ilitha subsidiary company, Scion Technologies, was formed in 2008, to enable a dedicated focus on the provision of products to industry, with a focus on the environment, specifically air pollution control for industries, energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.

Since its commencement, Scion has built up a comprehensive portolio of technology solutions for industrial air pollution control by partnering with a number of world-class and innovative technology companies, including Tri-mer Corporation, Megtec Systems, Advanced Cyclone Systems and Haldor Topsoe. Most recently, Scion has also become the local representative for Turboden, a specialist in the design and supply of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology, in line with Scion's vision of entering field of clean and renewable energy solutions.
